UPDATE: Upon further inspection, it is looking like the image is a fake. As noticed by the guys TechTastic, there are signs suggesting that the image may have been doctored. Sorry about that.
We’ve seen so many different leaked images of the Samsung Galaxy S8, it is enough to make your head spin. But that is to be expected with a handset that is more eagerly awaited than usual this year. Last year’s Samsung Galaxy Note 7 debacle (we’ve used the word fiasco too much) has increased the importance of Samsung’s next flagship both for the company, and the public. And if there is one thing we’ve learned, the more awaited a device is, the more leaks we are bound to see.
The latest “look” at the Samsung Galaxy S8 is a live shot, showing only the lower half of the phone. We can see a dual-curved edge screen with razor thin side bezels. The bottom of the phone contains a 3.5mm earphone jack, Type-C USB port and a speaker grille. Two antenna lines can also be seen.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to be equipped with a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display, carrying a 1440 x 2560 resolution. Powering the device will be the Snapdragon 835 chipset. 4GB or 6GB of RAM will be inside, along with 64GB of native storage. A 3000 mAh battery would be in charge of keeping the lights on. A rumored Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus is believed to come with a 6.2-inch display, and a larger 3500mAh cell.
At MWC in Barcelona, Samsung is expected to play a 60-second video of the Galaxy S8. The phone could be unveiled on March 29th.
Since the picture has not been verified, we would suggest that you take this story with the proverbial grain of salt.
